Description:
Assembly Bill 223 took effect on October 1, 2009, and provides a five percent bidding preference for service-disabled, veteran-owned businesses for state public works and state purchasing contracts.


Assembly 436 in 2017 ensures that it's easy to obtain information concerning programs to provide financing for small businesses and information concerning the process by which the business may become certified as a disadvantaged business enterprise.


In late 2023, Senator Jacky Rosen finalized the ongoing mission to establish the first Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) in Nevada, with funding from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
